    Time + Tide Chongwe Camp is our newly refurbished camp, with each safari tent set along the confluence of the Chongwe River, creating a haven for wildlife and exceptional sightings.
    The Lower Zambezi was only declared a national park in 1983, previously it had been the private game reserve of Zambia's president, which has resulted in the area being protected from mass tourism and large crowds, leaving it a relatively pristine wilderness.
    The region is especially wonderful for large, relaxed herds of elephants, diverse birdlife, predator encounters, especially endangered wild dogs, and large pods of hippos. Great for birdwatching and home of world-class tiger fishing (catch and release).

    Chongwe Camp is best accessed from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) near Lusaka followed by a short light aircraft transfer to the Royal or Jeki Airstrip.

    Drive time to camps: Royal Airstrip (approx 20 mins), Jeki Airstrip (approx 3 hours).

    Boat and drive time to camps: Jeki Airstrip (approx 1 hour + 20 mins)
