    The lodge and cabins are made entirely from wood harvested from their private forest. They have made an effort to reforest their land with native trees that had been cut down for farming. They use underground cables They have a greenhouse to cultivate organic vegetables for the menu They have a close relationship with the local community Their family union is a strong bond which in their words ‘is the most sustainable part of their business.

    It’s hard to imagine a more breathtaking setting for this charming, family-run lodge: 550 hectares of pristine meadow and native forest, overlooking the impossibly blue waters of Lake General Carrera. In the distance, the northern ice fields shimmer.
    On your doorstep are 15km of wooded trails to explore on foot or horseback. Must-do excursions are the Marble Caves, Patagonia NP and the confluence of the River Baker. In the distance, Patagonia’s Northern ice fields shimmer.
    Mallín feels like home. Comfy beds in beautiful rustic guest rooms or larger independent wood cabins for families and groups, all have incredible views. Meals are delicious, made with local and seasonal produce, traditionally cooked in clay pots.
