    Lengishu is a stone's throw from Pride Rock, the inspiration for Disney's The Lion King (the Disney film crew stayed on Borana Conservancy in the early 1990s and again in 2017 so it is the real deal)! It is about an hour and a half's walk from Lengishu and a great place for sundowners.
    They have an amazing bath menu with options like 'little cub safari bath' for children and 'the safari bath' which is the best way to relax after a day on safari. All bedrooms have fireplaces or wood-burning stoves, private verandas and roll-top copper baths with a view so each room is still quite private even though Lengishu is exclusive use.
    Sam, their head chef, is brilliant and comes to meet the guests before every meal. He caters all meals to guest preferences and grows a lot of his own produce.

    Location Details

    Lengishu is located at the heart of Borana Conservancy, part of the Lewa-Borana Landscape – Kenya’s largest continuous rhino habitat.

    Borana is just north of Mt Kenya on the eastern side of Laikipia with warm days and cool nights. Borana Conservancy has a private airstrip which is a 10 min game drive from Lengishu and accessible via charter flight only.

    Lengishu also has a private heli pad and acts as the perfect base from which to explore the magic of northern Kenya.

    There are also scheduled flights in to Lewa Downs which is an hour’s game drive from Lengishu.
