Erebero Hills is, without question, the standout lodge in the Bwindi area, a reputation reflected in its price tag. Beautifully designed and tastefully finished throughout, it's backed up by a genuinely high level of food and service. The lodge makes full use of its expansive grounds, with rooms well spaced for privacy and a magnificent outlook over the Bwindi forest, plus west facing views that make for gorgeous sunsets on a clear evening. Down the hill from the main lodge, a swimming pool offers a more private, closer vantage of the forest, a lovely spot to cool off given the fresher mountain air at this altitude.

Set deep in a quiet, remote location, guests enjoy total peace and privacy, with virtually no noise from roads or nearby communities, a rare find in this part of Uganda. The lodge is also well positioned for gorilla trekking, with the Ruhija sector close by for an active, rewarding trek through more mountainous terrain, and the Buhoma sector reachable for those hoping for an easier walk. Erebero Hills is a firm favourite of ours, and one we're delighted to feature across many of our Bwindi itineraries.
